MI vs RR: What did the captains say?

Hardik Pandya, MI captain

“We'll have a bowl first. It feels like it's a good track, whenever we've played here in the afternoon, it gets better in the evening. There are 20,000 kids in ESA's stadium. 29 million kids overall have been affected. Every year, we come to this game, we know it's going to be loud. Nice track. It looks hard. It gets a little better when the sun goes down. It's a special game. It means a lot to the group. We want to play for the kids and make it a memorable one, but we want to do well today, Deepak (Chahar) is resting.”

Riyan Parag, RR captain

“We would have bowled as well. We know it could be our last game of the season and we will play like this, hopefully we will get 2 points. Everything we have put together, all the energy and preparation, it is time to maximize it and go into the playoffs. I think we missed a few chances but that is on us. If we win we qualify and we don't have to wait. We have 3 changes. Nandre, Jadeja and I will come back.”
