Delhi Capitals (DC) Keep their playoff hopes alive with a five-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 62nd match of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday, May 17.
Batting first, RR once again scored 193 runs on the board for the loss of eight wickets thanks to their top order. Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave them a fast start by scoring 46 runs in 21 balls. However, it was the partnership between captain Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel that helped them post a respectable total. The duo scored 51 and 53 runs respectively, after which RR lost wickets in quick succession in the end.
In reply, DC achieved the target in the last over thanks to the heroics of Ashutosh Sharma. The 2020 finalists got a great start from their openers, with Abhishek Porel and KL Rahul both scoring half-centuries.
