JioStar powers IPL 2026 to reach 1.1 billion as playoff race heats up


~Combined reach reaches 1.1 billion~

Mumbai, May 15, 2026: As teams head into the exciting race for the play-offs in IPL 2026, JioStar has witnessed a sustained growth in reach and engagement across linear TV and digital platforms. With the playoff spots still open, Season 19 has maintained the level of unpredictability, with IPL 2026 recording its highest ever reach with a combined reach of 1.1 billion.

While linear TV reach is keeping pace with its strong position and heading towards the 500 million mark, digital reach has grown by 15% and viewing time is up by 7%. CTV has seen a 25% increase in reach and watch time has increased by 20%. The regional language watch-time has seen a staggering 42% increase. The data shows steady growth in IPL viewership across platforms, devices and formats.

JioStar's IPL 2026 presentation is powered by 125 new advertisers compared to last season, with a variety of names spanning the canvas. 22 sponsors have partnered with JioStar on digital, while 16 have come on linear TV, including a mix of legacy Indian brands and new age, technology-based platforms that reflect the growing relevance of IPL at the national level and for brands.

This is bolstered by innovations such as JioStar's “Champions Feed”, which features legends, former champions and leading voices of the game such as Ravichandran Ashwin, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag and Irfan Pathan, among others, providing fans with in-depth analysis, untold anecdotes and real-time match predictions along with the live action.

The continued momentum this season has been driven not only by the upheaval of the league table, but also by the quality of cricket on display. The emergence of fearless young talent along with consistent performances from veterans and established stars has ensured that fans remain interested in the tournament.
