Ambati Rayudu ranks 10 captains in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 While eight teams are still in the race to reach the playoffs, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants have already been eliminated.
lsg captain Rishabh Pant and MI captain Hardik Pandya have moved up to 10th and 9th respectively in Rayudu's rankings via ESPNcricinfo. Super Giants have won three and lost eight in 11 matches. Meanwhile, Mumbai have four wins and eight losses.
Experienced all-rounder Axar Patel is in eighth place amid a disappointing campaign for Delhi Capitals. They started with two consecutive wins but lost seven of the next 10 matches. Rayudu finished seventh alongside Ajinkya Rahane, with the experienced campaigner leading Kolkata Knight Riders to four wins and six losses this season.
Ryan Parag, who was appointed captain of Rajasthan Royals (RR) earlier this season, finds himself at No. 6 in Rayudu's rankings. Under his leadership, the Royals have won six in 11 matches. Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer, considered one of the finest white-ball captains in Indian cricket at the moment, had to settle for fifth place. Punjab Kings won six of their first seven matches but have since lost five consecutive matches.

Rayudu kept Ruturaj Gaikwad at number 4. While the right-handed batsman has had a poor season with the Willows, he has performed well as a captain. In 11 matches, the Men in Yellow have won six and lost five.
Legendary Australian captain Pat Cummins has taken over the No. 3 spot for Sunrisers Hyderabad after missing the first seven matches of this season. The Orange Army won three of the five matches under Cummins. Overall, they have scored seven wins from 12 matches and are one of the favorites to make the playoffs.
Rajat Patidar came second in Rayudu's ranking. After leading Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to their maiden title last year, Patidar has gone from strength to strength. The defending champions top the table with eight wins from 12 matches.
The top spot went to Shubman Gill, who led Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026. The former champions are second in the standings with eight wins from 12 matches.
