Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming In the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the team is facing many injuries.
Fleming also reflected on how some of his players were injured before the tournament even started and how the medical staff is taking utmost care of the players helping them recover from the setbacks. The former cricketer believes that the injury problems have arisen due to most players being involved in excessive amounts of cricket before the season.
“It is unfortunate. Some boys came to the competition with minor niggles. [Ramakrishna] Ghosh There was one of them we were taking care of, and then he collapsed, so it was unfortunate,” Fleming said in the pre-match press conference ahead of CSK's clash against Lucknow Super Giants, as quoted by The Hindu.
“We're not doing anything to put pressure on these guys. They're all playing too much cricket; it's just one of those things. But we're certainly not turning a blind eye to it. We're working very hard on the recovery, and we have a very professional staff who have been with us for a number of years, so that area is well looked after,” Fleming added.
