star allrounder jamie overton He suffered a thigh injury ahead of Chennai Super Kings' match against Lucknow Super Giants, which has ruled him out of the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. Overton has added to CSK's injury woes as he becomes the eighth player to be ruled out of the season.
“Jamie Overton has a right thigh injury and will return to the UK for further assessment and management,” CSK shared in an official statement on their social media handles on Wednesday, May 13.
Earlier on Wednesday, CSK had officially announced the signing of McNeil Noronha into their squad to replace the injured Ramakrishna Ghosh, who was ruled out of the season due to a fractured foot following his IPL debut.
