Delhi Capitals (DC) achieved a thrilling win by three wickets punjab kings (PBKS) in a high-scoring encounter in Match 55 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamshala.
After being asked to bat first, PBKS posted a mammoth score of 210/5 in 20 overs thanks to impressive innings from Priyansh Arya and captain Shreyas Iyer. Arya continued his sensational form by scoring 56 runs off just 33 balls, while Iyer played a brilliant innings by scoring 59 not out off 36 balls. Cooper Connolly played a valuable 38-run knock before Suryansh Shedge's unbeaten 21-run knock from eight balls took PBKS past the 200-run mark. For DC, Madhav Tiwary impressed with two wickets, while Mitchell Starc took two wickets in the death overs.
In reply, Delhi Capitals batted fearlessly and achieved the target in just 19 overs. Axar Patel led from the front, scoring a brilliant 56 off 30 balls, while David Miller played a crucial 51 off 28 balls to keep DC in control during the middle overs. Ashutosh Sharma's explosive cameo further changed the momentum before Madhav Tiwary and Auqib Nabi Dar completed the chase in style.
Despite Arshdeep Singh's disciplined spell of 2/21, PBKS bowlers struggled to contain DC's aggressive batting lineup in a match dominated by power-hitting.
