Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) The excellent form continued as they secured their fourth consecutive win in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the expense of Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Friday, May 8.
KKR spinners once again laid a trap for the opposition batsmen, restricting DC to just 142 runs in their quota of 20 overs. Sunil Narine bowled his four overs at an economy rate of just 4.25, while Karthik Tyagi took two wickets and conceded just 25 runs. Pathum Nissanka's half-century was the only notable score for the hosts.
Due to Finn Allen's aging in the IPL, Knight Riders achieved the target with five overs remaining. This New Zealand international player scored a century in just 47 balls. The right-handed batsman was stuck on 94 runs and KKR needed two runs to win, but he ensured the victory by hitting a powerful six off Mukesh Kumar and reached triple figures. He had a brilliant partnership with Australia's Cameron Green, who scored 33 runs in 27 balls and also took the important wicket of Nitish Rana.
DC The vs KKR game saw several milestones achieved by players from both groups, which has become extremely common in this season's IPL. Finn Allen's century obviously created many new records for the Knight Riders.
