Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Prince Yadav bowled through the gate to send Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Virat Kohli back for a duck with two balls to spare in the 50th over of the match. Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 On 7 May at BRSABV Ekana Stadium.
After swinging the previous one away from the right-handed batsman, Prince pitched the in-swinging nip backer on a good length, pulling Kohli forward before the ball broke the bat-pad gap and slid down the off stump. The broadcast graphic showed that the fast bowler took a 1.47 degree swing, and was also seaming the ball after being pitched.
It was a moment of redemption for Prince, who had bungled a regulation attempt at backward point to edge Jacob Bethel for a boundary in RCB's opening over. However, Prince quickly redeemed himself as he got Mohammed Shami his first wicket by having Bethel caught in the same area on the very next ball and then returned to get rid of RCB's talisman Kohli in the next over.
Earlier in the day, LSG scored 209 runs for 3 wickets in rain-affected 19 overs on the back of Mitchell Marsh's explosive innings of 111 runs off 56 balls with nine fours and six sixes. Nicholas Pooran (38 off 23 balls) and captain Rishabh Pant (32 not out off just 10 balls) provided the impetus to put up a strong total on the board.
