Statistics Review of player records and milestones achieved


Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) finally tasted victory after seven matches as they defeated the defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by nine runs in a rain-affected game at the Ekana International Stadium in the 50th match of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL).

LSG batted first and managed to score 209 runs in 19 overs thanks to a brilliant century by Mitchell Marsh. The Australian opener scored 111 runs at a strike-rate of 198.21 to ensure that his team registered a defendable total. The hosts also needed an inning of 32 runs from 10 balls from their captain Rishabh Pant to reach 200 and pose a serious challenge to RCB.

However, the challenge was beyond the reach of the Royal Challengers, as they fell nine runs short of the revised total.
