Chennai Super Kings Defeated Mumbai Indians by eight wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai in Match 44 of the Indian Premier League 2026.
After electing to bat first, Mumbai Indians suffered an early setback as Will Jacques was dismissed by Anshul Kamboj in the second over of the game. Ryan Rickelton and Naman Dhir stabilized Mumbai's innings with a partnership of 58 runs in 33 balls. Rickelton became the victim of Noor Ahmed on 37 runs, due to which Suryakumar Yadav came to the crease. He scored 21 runs in 12 balls before becoming the victim of debutant Ramakrishna Ghosh.
This slowed down Mumbai Indians as Tilak Verma managed five runs and Hardik Pandya scored a slow 18 runs off 23 balls. Naman Dheer scored 57 runs in 37 balls, as Mumbai Indians' innings ended at 159/7. Fast bowler Anshul Kamboj finished with exceptional figures of 3/32 in his four-over spell.
Chennai Super Kings, who came to chase the target, got a setback in the very beginning, because in the very second over of the game, Jasprit Bumrah got Sanju Samson caught behind the wicket.
