Ishan Malinga was the pick of the bowlers for SRH, finishing with impressive figures of 1/29 in four overs, the only bowler to go below eight runs an over.

Sunrisers chased the target in spectacular style and made an opening partnership of 129 runs in just 52 balls. Travis Head was the aggressor, scoring 76 off 30 balls, supported by Abhishek Sharma, who scored 45 off 24 balls. AM Ghazanfar dismissed Abhishek and Ishan Kishan on consecutive balls, but heinrich classen Kept his courage by playing an unbeaten inning of 65 runs in 30 balls. He was the aggressor in a partnership of 80 runs in 40 balls with Nitish Kumar Reddy, before Salil Arora scored 30 runs in 10 balls to give Sunrisers victory with eight balls to spare.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are strengthening their claim for the playoffs with 12 points from six wins and are placed third in the standings. Mumbai Indians recorded their sixth defeat of the season and are ninth in the standings with only four points from two wins.
