In one of the best bowling spells in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), mohsin khanOn Sunday, April 26, Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was demolished by the magic of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium.
The left-arm fast bowler took five wickets at the end of his quota of four overs. This included taking three wickets in his first 13 balls and sending Tim Seifert, Ajinkya Rahane and Rowan Powell back to the pavilion when KKR were struggling at 31 runs for the loss of four wickets.
After successfully troubling the KKR top-order, Mohsin took the wicket of the free-scoring Cameron Green. The Australian all-rounder was leading the counter-attack against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bowlers and scored 34 runs in 21 balls with the help of three sixes.
Mohsin completed his five-wicket haul by taking the wicket of Anukul Roy, who sent the ball straight to Ayush Badoni at midwicket.
The 27-year-old took 5 wickets for 23 runs in his four overs, which also included a maiden over. This was Mohsin's first five-wicket haul in T20 and IPL career. His previous best was 4 for 16 during the 2022 IPL season lsg The match took place against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium.
