Rohit eyes MI's comeback, hopes to be ready for SRH match


Rohit Sharma Mumbai Indians' next match is to be played against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 29 April.

The flamboyant Indian opener has been out of action since April 12 after suffering a hamstring injury while batting during the five-time champions' loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has since missed three games against Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.

Cricbuzz has reported that Rohit is on his way to being fully fit and is getting ready for the match to be held at the Wankhede Stadium on April 29. It was further said that there is optimism among the coaching staff of Mumbai Indians, Rohit is diligently working on his fitness.

“Rohit is working hard in the middle to regain full fitness,” a source told Cricbuzz.

The former MI captain has scored 137 runs at a strike rate of 165 in the 2026 season. He scored a brilliant 78 off just 38 balls in the five-time champions' opening game win against Kolkata Knight Riders, his only 50-plus score of the season.
