Australia's leading fast bowler Mitchell Starc He has finally joined Delhi Capitals (DC) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season, but fans may have to wait a little longer to see him in action. The left-arm fast bowler, who was out due to shoulder and elbow injuries, arrived in India on April 25 after completing his rehabilitation in Australia.
Despite joining the team, the left-arm pacer is unlikely to feature in Delhi's upcoming fixtures against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Hopefully, the franchise will ease him back into action, with a possible comeback against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 1.

The 35-year-old has joined the camp early to get acclimated to the Indian conditions and is likely to spend the next few days training with the team. Starc's inclusion in the team will give a big boost to the team led by Axar Patel. He had a good IPL 2025 season for the Delhi-based franchise and was one of their leading wicket-takers. In 11 matches, the Australian fast bowler took 14 wickets at an average of 26.14 and an economy rate of 10.17, including his first five-wicket haul in the league.
