Rinku Singh And Anukul Roy built a strong partnership to give Kolkata Knight Riders their first win of the season at the iconic Eden Gardens on Sunday, April 19. The three-time champions defeated Rajasthan Royals by four wickets with two balls to spare.
Chasing the target of 156 runs on a sluggish pitch, the hosts were in a very bad shape and lost six wickets in 14 overs with only 85 runs left on the board. Rinku, who was relieved by Nandre Berger while batting on eight, led her team to victory with an unbeaten 76 off 37 balls.
Knights needed nine runs in the last over. Rinku hit two fours and a six off Brijesh to give her team two important points, which helped them move up from the bottom in the points table.

Rinku ultimately remained unbeaten on 53 runs in 34 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes. At the same time, Anukul remained not out after scoring 29 runs on 16 balls.
Earlier in the day, Riyan Parag won the toss and decided to bat first. For Rajasthan, the opening pair of Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal batted well and made a partnership of 81 runs. However, the Knights' spinners pulled things back in the middle overs, with Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine taking three and two wickets respectively.
