IPL 2026: RCB vs LSG, Match 23 Highlights


Royal Challengers Bangalore produced an impressive all-round performance to register a comfortable five-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants in Match 23 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday, April 15.

Asked to bat first, LSG suffered a poor performance with the bat and were all out for 146 runs in 20 overs. While Mitchell Marsh scored 40 runs in 32 balls. Ayush Badoni (38 off 24) and Mukul Choudhary (39 off 28) put together a vital partnership to revive the innings after early setbacks. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to make any significant impact.

RCB's bowling unit performed brilliantly, with Rasikh Salam taking an impressive four wickets. He got good support from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who took three wickets, while Krunal Pandya and Josh Hazlewood took two and one wicket respectively.

In reply, RCB chased the target with ease and scored 149/5 in just 15.1 overs. Virat Kohli played an inning of 49 runs in 34 balls, while captain Rajat Patidar played a quickfire inning of 27 runs in 13 balls. Tim David and Romario Shepherd completed the chase with ease, before Jitesh Sharma provided the final impetus to the team with 23 runs from nine balls.

RCB's bowling attack set the tone early, demolishing LSG's top order and never letting them settle down. Rasikh Salam Dar's four wickets, coupled with disciplined spells from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and others, ensured that LSG were restricted to a lower score than usual.
