With his second wicket of the night at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday, 15 April, Krunal completed the milestone of 100 wickets in his IPL career.
Krunal, who bowls left-arm spin, completed the historic milestone after taking his second wicket of the night, dismissing Abdul Samad for a duck in three balls in Bengaluru as the batsman edged the ball into the hands of RCB skipper Rajat Patidar, who eventually completed a simple catch. He was also the interim captain of the franchise in the absence of the then captain KL Rahul (He is now with Delhi Capitals in the 2023 season).
RCB is the third and latest franchise that Krunal is currently representing in the marquee T20 tournament. He joined the team in 2025 and was extremely impressive in his first season with the Bengaluru-based team. In his first match in the RCB kit, Krunal was the Player of the Match and later that season, he was also the Player of the Match in the final, helping RCB win their first IPL trophy.
