Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have returned to winning ways after three consecutive defeats. Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 23 runs in Match No. 18 at MA Chidambaram Stadium on 11th April.
Batting first, CSK performed brilliantly and scored an impressive 212/2 in 20 overs. Ayush Mhatre played a strong inning of 59 runs in 36 balls at a strike rate of 163.89, which included three fours and four sixes. However, the standout performer was Sanju Samson, who scored a sensational unbeaten 115 off 56 balls. His innings included 15 fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 205.36, which took over the CSK innings and put the opposition under immense pressure.
In reply, DC fought hard but failed and could only score 189 runs while chasing their target. Tristan Stubbs was the top scorer for DC with 60 runs from 38 balls, which included four fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 157.89.
After this, CSK bowlers took steps to achieve victory. Jamie Overton was the best bowler with 4 wickets for 18 runs in four overs, while Anshul Kamboj took 3 wickets for 35 runs in four overs.
With this win, CSK moved to ninth place in the points table with two points, while DC remains at the fourth position with four points despite the loss.
