Chennai Super Kings (CSK) but take Delhi Capitals (DC) In match 18 of 2026 indian premier leagueBut MA Chidambaram Stadium But 11 April.

The Super Kings come into this match having lost three games and are trying to leave their mark in the competition. Although the players have performed well on different occasions, their performance with both bat and ball is still not confidence-inspiring. After losing against Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Capitals will be looking to set the record straight when they visit.

Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, started their season strongly, with two wins in their first two matches against Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians. They come into this encounter after a close one-run defeat to Gujarat Titans, a game in which they were in control for most of the time. The team has shown poise and promise, and enter the competition as favourites, despite playing on one of the most challenging grounds in the country.

Here are the potential impact players for both teams:

Karthik Sharma: Karthik Sharma has been an impressive option for Chennai in their previous matches. Despite being signed for Rs 14 crore, he is yet to step into bat but has shown glimpses of the shots he has in his armoury.

dewald brevis: The South African batsman was ruled out of the opening games of the season due to a side strain. He is expected to return against the Capitals.

matthew short: Short made his debut for the Super Kings against Rajasthan Royals, but his weaknesses against spin were quickly exposed. He is a destructive batsman who provides easy off-spin.

Ramakrishna Ghosh: Ghosh, who will join the Super Kings in 2025, is a top-class fast bowling all-rounder who is capable of taking wickets when conditions suit him and provides reliable hitting at the back end.

Gurjapneet Singh: One of the highly rated fast bowlers from Tamil Nadu, Gurjapaneeth has been successful in the red ball format. He can swing the ball both ways and create sharp bounce on the wicket with his height.

Sameer Rizvi: Batting at number two in all three games, Rizvi has been an impressive option for the Capitals in all games. With match-winning scores of 70* and 90 in the first two matches, he will be expected to continue the same form despite early troubles against the Titans.

Ashutosh Sharma: Ashutosh Sharma is one of the most exciting domestic finishers in the IPL. While Capitals struggled in the final end against Titans, fans have been demanding better use of Ashutosh's abilities in the final end of the innings.

Auqib Nabi: This fast bowler from Jammu and Kashmir has not yet participated in the IPL after being signed for Rs 8.40 crore in the auction. While he is primarily a longer format bowler, he is expected to excel in the powerplay, he has incorporated slower balls and variations into his repertoire, making him a reliable option in the death overs.

Dushmantha Chameera: The Sri Lankan fast bowler is coming off the back of a good T20 World Cup campaign and would like to leave his mark if he gets a chance with the Capitals. A reliable all-round bowler, he can play any role required in the team.

Karun Nair: Karun Nair, one of India's domestic batting stalwarts, had a stellar 2025. With the ability to bat anywhere in the top or middle order, he will definitely be in the team when a spot opens up.
