Lucknow Super Giants Head to Eden Gardens to take on Kolkata Knight Riders on April 9, in Match 15 of the 2026 Indian Premier League. LSG started their campaign with a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 5 and will look to carry the momentum forward with a win against Knight Riders.
Despite questions over their balance, they are slowly finding a team combination that is working for them. With a solid domestic bowling corps and dangerous overseas batting options, they will pose a threat if their combination is successful.

Mitchell Marsh was the best batsman for LSG in 2025 with 627 runs in 13 matches. Playing as a pure batsman, without the responsibility of bowling, has freed up the Australian team. While he started with a brilliant inning of 35 runs against Delhi Capitals, he was out for 14 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad. His partner, Aiden Markram, returned to open against SRH and set the stage for their chase by scoring a brilliant 45 off just 27 balls.
Rishabh Pant Started in the first game but the results were disappointing. He returned to bat at the one-drop against Sunrisers, against whom he chased down the target by scoring an unbeaten 68 off 50 balls. Although he may not have been at his best, the LSG captain will be happy to score runs to start the season.
