Virat Kohli's no-look six stuns Bengaluru crowd in CSK match

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opening batsman Virat Kohli Made a splash in the Indian Premier League 2026 with a spectacular no-look six against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, April 5.

The moment came in the fourth over when CSK fast bowler Matt Henry bowled a length ball outside the off stump. Kohli stepped forward with confidence and flicked it over midwicket with effortless timing. What made the shot extraordinary was his patience, he didn't even look at the ball after making contact, only looked later and saw the ball go into the stands. The crowd immediately erupted in celebration of one of the most stylish strokes of the season.

Kohli made a quickfire contribution of 28 runs in 18 balls at an average of 155.56 with the help of two fours and a memorable six. Earlier in the tournament, he scored an unbeaten 69 runs in 38 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad to help RCB win the opening match.

RCB's batting unit dominated the match and posted a massive score of 250/3 in 20 overs. Devdutt Padikkal played a stormy inning of 50 runs in 29 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes. Later, he got good support from captain Rajat Patidar and Tim David, who made a devastating partnership of 99 runs for the fourth wicket.

Patidar remained unbeaten on 48 runs in just 19 balls with the help of six sixes and one four, while David played a breathtaking inning of 70 not out in 25 balls including eight sixes. Their late attack ensured that RCB posted one of the highest scores of the season.

For CSK, Khaleel Ahmed was relatively economical, but bowlers like Anshul Kamboj, Jamie Overton and Shivam Dubey struggled to stem the flow of runs despite taking one wicket each.

Coming into the match, CSK were under pressure after two consecutive defeats, while RCB looked to regain momentum after performing brilliantly in their second match of the season.
