Royal Challengers Bangalore's strongest possible XI against Chennai Super Kings

Royal Challengers Bangalore Take on Chennai Super Kings in a latest episode of IPL's fiercest rivalry. The two sides will face each other for the 36th time on April 5 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In their first game of the season, RCB defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets while chasing a target of 202 with four overs to spare. The team performed well with both bat and ball on the flat Chinnaswamy wicket.

They have continued with the same core with which they won the title, a unit that looks balanced and formidable. The team has added a few things due to circumstances, but most of it remains the same.

Here is the best possible XI for Royal Challengers Bangalore

Top order: Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, Devdutt Padikkal

Virat Kohli and Phil Salt form a strong opening pair for the defending champions. While Salt failed to get going against SRH, Kohli's innings was the backbone of the chase as he scored an unbeaten 69, held his end when runs were flowing around him and then showed off his series of shots as the game wound down.

Devdutt Padikkal, whose place was in question with the arrival of Venkatesh Iyer, got the team's support and repaid the faith by scoring a brilliant 61 off 28 balls, taking the game out of SRH's reach early on.
