Varun Chakravarthy took a brilliant low catch to dismiss a good set Abhishek Sharma During Match No. 6 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. After being invited to bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had a strong start, with Abhishek looking in good form and getting closer to his half-century. However, his impressive innings came to an end in the ninth over.
While bowling the over, Blessing Muzarabani bowled a short length ball on the fourth ball. Abhishek attempted a pull shot despite limited space and succeeded in hitting the ball towards deep square leg. However, the ball did not go completely. Varun was positioned deep, displaying exceptional awareness and agility. He is more known for his mystery spin than his fielding, he took a brilliant catch by bending down and picking the ball a few inches off the ground.
Abhishek was out after scoring 48 runs off 21 balls, an innings which included two fours and four sixes, giving his team a solid start before his departure.
