Batting first, SRH scored a mammoth 226/8 in 20 overs with the help of a explosive start from Travis Head, who scored 46 runs in 21 balls and Abhishek Sharma who scored a quickfire 48 runs in 21 balls. The middle order also performed effectively, with Heinrich Klaasen contributing vitally with 52 runs from 35, while Nitish Kumar Reddy added 39 runs from 24 to take SRH to a challenging total.
In reply, KKR's chase never got any sustained momentum despite some promising contributions. Angkrish Raghuvanshi top scored with 52 runs on 29 balls, while Rinku Singh scored 35 runs on 25 balls, after which Finn Allen gave a fast start by scoring 28 runs on 7 balls. However, routine wickets derailed the innings, as KKR were bowled out for 161, falling well short of the target.
A clinical all-round performance ensured SRH effectively secured their first win of the season.
